An information and discussion session was organized by the Research Council of University of Kelaniya on the 31^st of March 2021 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre.

It was organized on achieving the Scopus recognition to the journals published by University of Kelaniya. Present status of the journals, criteria for immediate improvement and measures to be taken to qualify for Scopus recognition was discussed in detail.

The resource person of this session was Dr. C. C. Jayasundara, Librarian of University of Kelaniya and his presentation was followed by a discussion. Senior Prof. Kapila Seneviratne, Chairman- Research Council, Directors of Faculty Research Centers, Chief Editors, Editorial Board Members, Mrs. H.K.D.W.M.S.K. Hapuhinna, Senior Assistant Registrar- Research and Publication Division, and other invitees participated in this session.
