The University of Kelaniya and the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), Japan continued discussions to strengthen and expand their academic collaboration during a visit by a KCGI delegation, building upon the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) initially signed between the two institutions in 2019. The discussions were held on January 14, 2026, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office, University of Kelaniya.

The International Postgraduate Research Conference (IPRC) 2025 proudly marked a momentous milestone with the celebration of its Silver Jubilee. As the organizer of IPRC, the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the University of Kelaniya was honoured to carve the university’s legacy in gold by providing a dynamic platform to disseminate new knowledge and celebrate research achievements globally. The inauguration ceremony of the IPRC 2025 was successfully held on November 13, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies.

The Organizing Committee of the 25th International Postgraduate Research Conference (IPRC) 2025, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya, successfully hosted the IPRC Post-Conference Workshop on the theme ‘Music & Dance Beyond the Culture.’ The event was held on 14th November 2025 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, in collaboration with the CKDu Information and Research Centre, University of Kelaniya, successfully conducted the IPRC 2025 Pre-Conference Training Workshop on ‘ICP-MS, HPLC & GC Advanced Instruments’ Sample Preparation, Analysis & Troubleshooting with Theoretical Knowledge on 1st November 2025 at the CKDu Information and Research Centre, Faculty of Science.
