The Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya proudly organised the Excellence in Humanities Awards – 2025 for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to recognising and celebrating outstanding contributions to the field of Humanities.
In a gesture that reflects a deep commitment to advancing higher education and scholarly inquiry, a valuable collection of academic books was ceremonially donated to the Department of International Studies at the University of Kelaniya on 5th February 2026 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of the University. The book donation was symbolically handed over by Mr Gunapala Madurawala to Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, marking a significant moment of intellectual enrichment for the department.
The 8th Humanities Undergraduate Research Symposium (HUG) 2025 of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on 12 February 2026 as a one-day academic event, marking another significant milestone in the Faculty’s commitment to undergraduate research excellence.
