The inaugural ceremony of the orientation program for the BSc Honours in Management and Technology and BSc Honours in Information Technology degrees for the academic year 2023/2024 at the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on the 20th of January 2025 at A8 602, Department of Industrial Management Auditorium, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya. The orientation program is scheduled to take place for two weeks from the 20th of January  to the 31st of January 2025.

AQUA 2025: Aquatic & Environmental Exhibition, a landmark environmental education and conservation event, organized by the Aquatic Club of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management at the University of Kelaniya was successfully held on the 8th and 9th of January 2025 at the Faculty of Science premises (A7), University of Kelaniya.

A Chinese delegation, led by Dr. Jinglong Yao, Deputy Director of the China-Sri Lanka Joint Centre for Education and Research (CSL-CER), visited the University of Kelaniya on the 9th of December 2024. They met with Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
