The inauguration ceremony of the orientation programme of the Faculty of Science was held on the 22nd of April 2024 at 9.00 a.m at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya. The event was organised to welcome the new undergraduates of the 2022/2023 intake.
The beginning of a three-day orientation program organized by the Department of Industrial Management, Faculty of Science for their new first-year undergraduates was held on the 4th of March 2024 at the Auditorium of the Department of Industrial Management. This orientation was introduced before the commencement of the BSc Honors in Management and Information Technology degree program for the 2022/23 batch.
The Faculty of Science at the University of Kelaniya, through the collaborative efforts of the Staff Development Center and the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Science, organized a one-day workshop on Scientific Laboratory Management on the 2nd of February 2024. The event took place at the Staff Development Center, University of Kelaniya.
The exhibition of the first Sri Lankan Prototype Solar Panels took place at the Main Project Office at the University of Kelaniya on the 2nd of February 2024. They were designed by researchers affiliated with the Universities of Kelaniya, Peradeniya, Jaffna, and the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Sri Lanka. This education training project was carried out under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka.
