The Inauguration of the Foundation Programme for the 5th Batch of the BSc Honours in Sports Science Degree (Academic Year 2024/2025), offered by the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, was held on 16 February 2026 at the Faculty Boardroom of the Faculty of Science, marking the formal commencement of the academic journey for approximately 50 newly enrolled students.

The inauguration ceremony of the Orientation Programme for the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, was held on 9 March 2026 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya. The event was organised to welcome the new undergraduates of the 2024/2025 intake. The Orientation Programme will continue until 13 March 2026, followed by the commencement of academic activities on 16 March 2026.
