Retirement Ceremony of Mrs. Amali Kudahetti and Mrs. H. G. Sriya Wasanthi Held at the University of Kelaniya
The retirement ceremony of Mrs. Amali Kudahetti and Mrs. H. G. Sriya Wasanthi, who served as Senior Staff Management Assistants at the Academic Division of the University of Kelaniya, was held on August 22, 2025, at the Senate Room of the University of Kelaniya. Mrs. Amali Kudahetti retired on August 10, 2025, after 36 years of service, while Mrs. H. G. Sriya Wasanthi retired on August 15, 2025, after 29 years of service.
The 151st General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held ceremoniously on the 25th of August 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

Senior Professor Aggamaha Panditha Ven. Kotapitiye Rahula Anunāyaka Thero, awarded the Honorary Degree Doctor of Literature
Aggamaha Panditha Most Venerable Kotapitiye Rahula Anunāyaka Thero, Senior Professor (Retired) of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Peradeniya, and Anunāyaka and Chief Secretary of the Sri Kalyāni Sāmagridharma Mahāsaṇghasabhā, Kotte Chapter, Sri Jayewardenepura, was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Literature (D. Litt.) by the University of Kelaniya at its 151st General Convocation, held on 25th of August 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).
