Leo Club of the University of Kelaniya Honored as "Most Outstanding Leo Club of Leo District 306 B2"
The Leo Club of the University of Kelaniya has once again demonstrated exceptional leadership and community service by successfully executing 34 impactful projects over the past few months, reaching more than 33 million beneficiaries across various focus areas.
A delegation from Lucknow University, India visited the University of Kelaniya on the 1st of July 2025. The delegation was led by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Vice-Chancellor of the Lucknow University, and included Prof. Ravindra Pratap Singh, Director, International Cell; Prof. Geetanjali Mishra, Professor of Zoology and Dean of Academics; Prof. Keya Pandey, Professor of Anthropology/ Honorary Librarian; and Prof. Audhesh Kumar, Professor of Commerce/ ProgrammeDirector (MBA).

University of Kelaniya Becomes First in Sri Lanka to Launch Large Scale Huawei-Powered Wi-Fi 7 Network
The University of Kelaniya has taken a bold step into the future by becoming the first university in Sri Lanka to host a large-scale Wi-Fi 7 network, powered by global technology leader Huawei. This groundbreaking development was officially announced at the Smart University Summit 2025, held on June 20, 2025 at the Goldi Sands Hotel in Negombo and co-hosted by the Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN).
