The official launch of the project Suwisal Digital Library, initiated by the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the university Library, was successfully held on April 9, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Prof. Małgorzata Porada-Rochoń from the Institute of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management, University of Szczecin, Poland completed her mobility period at the University of Kelaniya within the framework of Erasmus + Staff Mobility for Teaching from the 24th to 28th of March 2025.

Rooted in the Arabic word meaning "opening," IHTIFAL symbolizes the breaking of fast (Iftar) and embodies the spirit of unity, faith, and gratitude that defines this sacred month.
