A delegation from the Chuvash I. Yakovlev State Pedagogical University, Russia, visited the University of Kelaniya on June 20, 2025, and met Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. The delegation comprised Prof. Kozhanov Igor Vladimirovich, Rector, Chuvash I. Yakovlev State Pedagogical University, Russia; Prof. Kirillov Aleksandr Alekseevich, Head of the Department of Scientific and Innovation Work; and Prof. Aleksandrova Galina Aleksandrovna, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Program.

Orientation Programme of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities – Academic Year 2023/2024
The Inauguration Ceremony of the Orientation Programme organized to welcome new undergraduates of the 2023/2024 intake of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities was held on the 12th of June 2025 from 08.30 a. m. onwards at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya. Accordingly, the orientation programme is scheduled to be held from the 12th to 17th of June 2025.
Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 28th of May 2025 at the Senate Room of the university.
