The “Brain into Business” Grant Awards Ceremony 2025, organized by the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), was held on 19 December 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) – Ruby Hall. Through a highly competitive and rigorous evaluation process, six outstanding students from the University of Kelaniya were selected as grant recipients. 

The University of Kelaniya successfully conducted a Continuing Professional Development programme on Web, Data, Analytics, and AI Skills, organized by the Digital Communication Centre. The hands-on skills training session was designed for Web and Analytics Leads and Associates of the Faculty of Humanities and was held on January 7, 2026, at the Staff Development Centre, University of Kelaniya.

The first phase of the ‘Young Journalist’ Workshop Series 2026, organised by the Communication and Media Unit of the University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on 9 January 2026 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre, University of Kelaniya. The workshop was conducted under the theme ‘Towards a Responsible and Ethical Media Culture’.
