As part of the Harmony Week 2025 celebrations at the University of Kelaniya, the Intercultural Food event, which was held on 10th September 2025 at the university premises, marked the third major activity of the week. Organized by the Centre for Social Reconciliation, it brought together the university community in a meaningful celebration of diversity, unity, and shared heritage.
A training program aimed at enhancing the skills of the University of Kelaniya’s security personnel was successfully conducted by the Staff Development Centre (SDC) on September 4, 2025, at the SDC Auditorium. A total of 30 security staff members attended the program.
The official launch of Rāva Pratibhā 2024, organized by the Arts Council of the University of Kelaniya, was held on 11th September 2025 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, in celebration of National Literacy Month. The event was organized under the supervision of Professor Uda Hettige, Chairman of the Arts Council, and was held under the patronage of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.
Prof. Rabia Bayindir from the Department of Education Sciences, Faculty of Education, Akdeniz University, Turkey, visited the University of Kelaniya under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme. Her mobility period was from 1st to 12th September 2025.
