The 4th Open Day of Career Fair 2026 at the University of Kelaniya was successfully held on 24th February 2026 at the Auditorium of the Career Guidance Unit, featuring A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd and Abans PLC. The event was organized by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with its affiliated student clubs - Rotaract, Leo Club, LED, and Gavel.

The session commenced with Mr Ken Vijayakumar, representing A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd, who oversees Human Resources, Administration, Purchasing, and Sustainability. He conducted an insightful workshop titled ‘Personal Branding and Networking’ and also shared an overview of the company’s operations. The session highlighted the importance of developing a strong personal brand and building professional networks in today’s competitive world of work.

The Open Day attracted over 100 enthusiastic undergraduates, providing them with valuable exposure to corporate expectations and professional development strategies. The event also created a platform for both A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd and Abans PLC to introduce internship opportunities for students of the University of Kelaniya.The programme concluded with on-site interviews conducted by representatives of both companies, further supporting students in securing internship placements. Mr K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs R. P. A. Minoon Perera, Career Counsellors, along with members of the Career Fair 2026 organizing committee, were present at the occasion.
