The University of Kelaniya formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TRACE - a leading organization fostering innovation, technological advancement, and entrepreneurial growth across multiple disciplines, on 24th November 2025, marking a key milestone in fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
The University of Kelaniya formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institutes of Technology-Madras (IITM) - Pravartak Technologies Foundation, the Technology Innovation Hub of IITM on 23rd September 2025 at the Faculty of Computing and Technology (FCT).
The MoU was signed by Dr. M. J. Shankar Raman, Chief Executive Officer of IITM-Pravartak, and Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.
The Faculty of Computing and Technology at the University of Kelaniya celebrated a momentous milestone on August 13, 2025, with the inauguration ceremony for the 2023/24 academic batch. Held at the faculty's auditorium, the event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for over 250 new students who were welcomed into the prestigious programs.
4th Undergraduate Research Symposium 2024 in advance to the 9th International Conference on Advances in Technology and Computing (ICATC) 2024, organized by the Faculty of Computing and Technology, was held on the 22nd of November 2024 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya.
