The National Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Library Professionals,” organized by the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya, in collaboration with the Alumni Association of Library and Information Science, was successfully held on the 1st and 2nd of December 2024 at the IT Laboratory K3 001 of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Cadre Chair and Senior Professor Prishanta Gunawardhana of the Department of Archaeology, University of Kelaniya, was awarded the title of Best Original Academic and Research Texts of the Year 2023 for his work Low-Density Urbanism, at the State Literary Awards 2024.
The Research Library and Information Centre, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya, organized a workshop titled "Academic Integrity and Efficiency: Harnessing Mendeley for Effective Reference Management" for the academic staff of the faculty. This session was held on the 11th of November 2024 at the Faculty Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.
