University of Kelaniya Launches its Inaugural Sustainability Report and the “TreeID” Project
The first Sustainability Report Launching Ceremony of the University of Kelaniya, organized by the Centre for Sustainability Solutions (CSS), was successfully held on the 25th of October 2024, at the Senate Room of the University of Kelaniya. The event was presided over by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.
A workshop titled “A Beginner’s Guide to LinkedIn,” organized by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with Cargills Ceylon PLC, was held on the 16th of October 2024, at the CGU Auditorium, University of Kelaniya.

Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha assumes duties as the Director of the Communication and Media Unit for the 2nd consecutive time
Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha was appointed as the Director of the Communication and Media Unit for the 2nd consecutive time. The appointment letter was handed over to the Director by the Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, on the 9th of October 2024, at the Vice-chancellor’s Office.
