The University of Kelaniya achieved distinguished honour at the Presidential Environment Awards Ceremony 2025, held on 23rd October 2025 at the BMICH, under the patronage of Honourable Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya successfully conducted the Pre-Workshop for Career Fair 2026 on 15th October 2025 at the K2-002 Hall, Faculty of Social Sciences. The event was organized by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka and LED KLN.
The Centre for Sustainability Solutions (CSS) of the University of Kelaniya conducted awareness programs on Waste and Energy Management for administrative and non-academic staff on 16th and 17th October 2025 at the Auditorium of Staff Development Centre (SDC).
A session on "Mental Well-being at the Workplace," organized by Kalana Mithuru Sevana, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science - Section F and the Committee for the Popularisation of Science (CPS), was successfully held on 10th October 2025 at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre, University of Kelaniya.
