The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya conducted the "AI Aptitude Accelerator" Workshop on the 18th of June 2025 at the CGU Auditorium. It was organized in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and LEO KLN.

The main objective of the workshop was to enhance students’ understanding of AI, strengthen their career readiness and empower them to navigate confidently into AI-related career pathways.

The workshop was conducted by two distinguished speakers: Mr. Chathura Dilan Perera, Founder and CEO of Dilexus, and Mr. Kasun Tharaka, Senior Manager, Capacity Building at ICTA. Their expertise brought both theoretical and practical dimensions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to life for the participants.

More than 70 undergraduates attended the event. The session provided both foundational knowledge and insights into real world applications of AI helping participants grasp how AI is transforming industries and employability in the digital era.
