The Youth-Led Green and Inclusive Businesses Programme, organized by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the British Council, took place as a two-day event on the 18th and 19th of December 2024, at the CGU Auditorium of the University of Kelaniya.

The Centre for Sustainability Solutions (CSS) and the Electronics Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC) of the University of Kelaniya successfully conducted the annual E-Waste Collection on the 16th of December 2024, as part of the university’s sustainability initiatives. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and faculty, resulting in the collection of over 100 kilograms of electrical and electronic waste.

A high-profile delegation from the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), Ministry of Education, People's Republic of China, visited the University of Kelaniya for the first time on the 29th of November 2024. The delegation gathered in the University Senate Room, aiming to strengthen the educational and cultural ties between China and Sri Lanka, with a particular focus on advancing Chinese language higher education in Sri Lanka.

The Career Fair Team 2024 proudly  handed over the Career Fair 2024 Magazine to Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, on the 26th of November at the Vice-Chancellor's Office.
