A delegation from the Education University of Hong Kong Visits the University of Kelaniya
A delegation from the Education University of Hong Kong visited the University of Kelaniya on August 7, 2025. The delegation comprised Prof. Chetwyn Chan, Vice President for Research and Development; Prof. Michelle Gu, Dean of the Graduate School; and Mr. Shiyang Tang, Executive Officer. They met with Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, and Senior Prof. Priyani Paranagama, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, for a discussion at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

The University of Kelaniya Secures Three Awards at the CVCD Excellence Awards 2024
Three academics from the University of Kelaniya have been awarded the prestigious Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) Excellence Awards for Most Outstanding Senior Researchers in the fields of Management Studies and Social Sciences and Legal Studies, as well as for Most Outstanding Young Researcher in Medical and Dental Sciences. The awarding ceremony was successfully held on August 2, 2025, at the College House, University of Colombo.
Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 23rd of July 2025 at the Senate Room of the university.
