First-Ever Dean’s List Ceremony Honours 241 High-Achieving Students at University of Kelaniya

The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Kelaniya held its inaugural Dean’s List Awarding Ceremony on 25th July 2025 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall, celebrating the academic excellence of students who demonstrated outstanding performance during the academic years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.
The ceremony was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the faculty and brought together academic staff and students for a proud and memorable occasion. A total of 241 students were awarded Dean’s List certificates in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements.
The event was graced by Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, who served as the Chief Guest, while other distinguished guests included Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Senior Professor P. Pathirawasam, Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance; and academic staff members of the Faculty of Humanities.
This milestone event marks the Faculty’s continued commitment to fostering academic excellence, and the Dean’s List will remain a symbol of scholarly distinction and inspiration for future students.
