The year 2022 marked the 65^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sri Lanka and the 70^th anniversary of the signing of the “Rubber-Rice Agreement”.

The Confucius Institute of the University of Kelaniya, organized a rice distribution program for the cleaning & landscaping staff, even in these difficult and challenging times, to mark the 65^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sri Lanka. This event was successfully held on the 10^th of August 2022 at 11:00 am in front of the K14 building of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya.

Senior Prof. Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dilrukshi Rathnayake, Head of the Department of Modern Languages, Ven. Prof. Nedalagamuwe Dhammadinna, Mr. K. K. Dharmathilake, Registrar, participated as the chief guests.
