Presenting the Volume 01 of the Journal of Gender & Sustainable Development published annually by the Centre for Gender Studies, University of Kelaniya to the Vice- Chancellor was held on the 27^th of December 2018 at the office of the Vice- Chancellor.

The Co- Editors- in- Chief of the journal which was published under the theme: Gender & Sustainable Development, were Senior Lecturer Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Director- Centre for Gender Studies and Senior Lecturer Dr. Damayanthi Edirisinghe, Department of Commerce and Financial Management.

Assistant Lecturer W.M. Gayathri Manampitiya, Department of Social Sciences, Ms. Harini Navoda De Zoysa, Research Assistant, National E- Learning Resource Centre, Ven. Prof. Wijitapure Wimalaratana, Department of Economics, University of Colombo, Senior Lecturer Dr. Anurin Indika, Department of Sinhala, Assistant Lecturer M.C.K.H. Mallika, Department of Commerce and Financial Management supplied the journals articles to the journal.

The event was held under the patronage of the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe. Present at the occasion were the Editorial Assistants of the journal, Prof. Anuruddhi Edirisinghe and staff members of the Centre for Gender Studies.
