DEPARTMENTS OF APPLIED COMPUTING (Disciplines:- Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials and Process Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Environmental Resources)

Qualifications

Temporary Lecturer:

• A Degree with specialization in relevant subject with First or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours;

 

OR

• A Degree with specialization in relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;

 

OR

• (a) A Degree with specialization in relevant subject without Honours or any other Degree   

      with at least Second Class Honours;

And

(b)  A Doctoral Degree in relevant subject

Or

(c)   A Master degree in the relevant subject obtained after a full-time course of study of at least 24 months durations (or equivalent part-time course of study) with a research component by way of thesis/dissertation.

Or

(d)    A full time Master Degree in relevant subject of a minimum of 18 months duration with at least 60 credits of which not less than 15 credits of research by way of thesis/dissertation.

Temporary Demonstrator:

An Honours Degree with specialization in the relevant subject  

(A person awaiting results could also apply)

 

Or

A graduate with First or Second Class, with the relevant subject

BENEFITS:

Temporary Lecturer                                        - Rs. 49,860/- p.m.

Temporary Demonstrator / Tutor                   - Rs. 40,920/- p.m.

Appointees will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund, contributing 10% of their monthly salary and the University will contribute 15% to the University Provident Fund and 3% of the monthly salary to the Employees Trust Fund respectively.
