The University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka will entertain applications internally for the post of Chief Marshal from suitably qualified persons of the University Grants Commission / Higher Educational Institutions up to 15.03.2024.

FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Required Qualifications:

1. A holder of the post of Deputy Chief Marshal in the Marshal service in the university system and confirmed in that post with not less than five (05) years of satisfactory service in that grade.

   Physique

       Height 5’.5’’

       Chest 32” deflated

    Note: Preference will be given to those with actively participated in sports activities, Social welfare activities and recreation programmes within the University and at the National level.

OR

2. An Officer not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Sri Lanka Armed Forces / equivalent rank in Sri Lanka Police with active participation in sports activities.

SALARY SCALE - U-EX 2 (II)

• 66,180 – 8x1335; 8x1630 – 89,900 p.m. and salary will be paid accordingly to the University Grants Commission Circular No. 17/2016 (V) dated 01.06.2018.
• In addition, cost of living allowance and other UGC approved allowances will be paid to selected candidate.         

METHOD OF RECRUITMENT

• Selection by a structured Interview.
• Applicants who have scored 40% marks or above at the structured interview are eligible to be considered for selection.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

• Conditions of appointment will be in accordance with the provisions of the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978, its subsequent amendments and Ordinances, Regulations, Rules, etc., made thereunder.
• All other benefits for the post, as approved by the University Grants Commission will be applicable.
