The Communication and Media Unit was reopened after a series of renovations, on the 20^th of January 2023.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

Senior Lecturer Saman Rajapaksha, the Director of the Communication and Media Unit, addressed the gathering, sharing the accomplishments of the previous year and the future plans of the Unit with the audience.

Moreover, the event was graced with the presence of Ms. M. I. D. Tennakoon – Bursar, Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean – Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, Dr. Chamli Pushpakumara, Dean – Faculty of Computing and Technology, Prof. N. A. K. P. J. Seneviratne, Dean – Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean – Faculty of Humanities, Senior Prof. S. R. D. Kalingamudali, Dean – Faculty of Science, Prof. M. M. Gunathilake, Dean – Faculty of Social Sciences, and other invited guests of the academic and non-academic staff. The gathering dispersed after a modest tea party organized by the Unit.
