The Staff Development Centre of the University of Kelaniya announces the commencement of a specialized training program titled "Research Workshop on Publishing Extended Abstracts/Concept Research Papers" for executive officers. Starting on the 19^th of September 2024, the program will consist of five comprehensive workshops followed by a dedicated follow-up session to ensure participants can apply their newly acquired skills effectively.

This program is designed to enhance the research skills of administrative officers, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to publish research work in the form of extended abstracts or concept papers.

The program will be conducted by a panel of esteemed resource persons from the university, who are, respectively, Prof. W. M. C. B. Wanninayake of the Department of Marketing Management, Prof. D. M. R. Dissanayake of the Department of Marketing Management, and Dr. (Mrs.) Priyanwada Wanigasooriya, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Library & Information Science.

The Staff Development Centre (SDC) also has arranged a publication opportunity in a research journal for all participants once they complete their respective research purposes.

This initiative is a part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen research capacity among its administrative staff, fostering a culture of academic contribution and professional development.
