A Skill Development Workshop, organized by the Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on the 2^nd of September 2024 at the Staff Development Auditorium, University of Kelaniya.

The workshop aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Executive Board members of the Gender Equity and Equality Club.

The session was conducted by Dr. K. R. N. Harshani, Director of Kalana Mithuru Sewana, University of Kelaniya, who honoured the event as the resource person. Dr. Harshani shared her expertise on skill development training, focusing on essential skills for leadership, advocacy, and effective communication.

The workshop provided valuable insights and practical tools for the board members, empowering them to drive impactful initiatives within the club. It was a significant step toward building leadership capacity for promoting gender equity and equality across the university community.

Present at the occasion were Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Founder & Advisor of the Gender Equity & Equality Club and Chair of the Advisory Board, Centre for Gende Studies; and Ms. Harshi Kariyawasam, Student Counselor of Kalana Mithuru Sewana.
