The Second Open Day of Career Fair 2026 was held on 11th February 2026 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya. The event was organized by the Career Guidance Unit in collaboration with affiliated student clubs - Rotaract, Leo Club, LED, and Gavel. CBL Food International (Pvt) Ltd and Sisili Projects Consortium (Pvt) Ltd joined the Second Open Day as participating organizations.

The first workshop of the Open Day, titled ‘Essential Skills for Future Professionals,’  was conducted by Ms Sheamale Wickramasingha, Group Managing Director of CBL Food International (Pvt) Ltd. The second workshop, titled ‘Digital Literacy,’ was delivered by Mr Panchana Rathnayake, Group HR & Administration Manager of Sisili Projects Consortium (Pvt) Ltd.

The sessions attracted over 220 students who were eager to enhance their professional knowledge and networking skills.The event concluded with on-site interviews conducted by representatives of both companies, providing valuable internship opportunities for university students.  Senior Professor Dilkushi Wettewe, Director of the Career Guidance Unit, graced the occasion, accompanied by Mr K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs R. P. A. Minoon Perera, Career Counsellors, together with the organizing committee members of Career Fair 2026.
