Dr. Ishanka Karunarathne is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. She was nominated as the

most outstanding young scholar at the annual meeting of Academy of International Management, July, 2017 and this time in 2019 one of her scholarly publications was recognized as one of the most impactful business and management papers in 2019.

Her paper entitled “Relocation with or without you: An Attachment theory perspective on Expatriate withdrawal” has been awarded as one of the four finalists for International Management Division CEIBS best paper award at 79^th Annual Meeting of Academy of Management, which is the largest scholarly Management Association in the world. This paper has presented at CEIBS Best paper award session on 13^th August 2019, at the annual conference which was held in Boston, USA.
