International Conference on Heritage as Soft Power organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26^th & 27^th of December 2019 at the University of Kelaniya.

Emeritus Prof. Sudharshan Seneviratne delivered the keynote address at the Inauguration Ceremony on 26^th of December, 2019. Professor D. M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Prof. J. B. Disanayake- Former Ambassador to Thailand, Dr. Sonia Jasrotia- ICCR Chair, Preah Sihanouk Raja Buddhist University, Cambodia, Mr.W.M. Senevirathna- Former Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Rewant Vikram Singh, Director- Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Sri Lanka, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya, Prof. M. M. Gunathilaka, Dean- Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya graced this Conference as Guests of Honours.

Prof. Sasanka Perera, Professor in Sociology, South Asian University, New Delhi delivered a special lecture on 27^th of December, 2019.

Furthermore, Prof. Anura Manatunga, Director- Centre for Heritage Studies, Ms. Nadeera Hewawasan, Deputy Director- Centre for Heritage Studies, Academic Staff Members of the University of Kelaniya, Research Paper Presenters (Sri Lankan & Foreign), Undergraduates, and Special Invitees were participated in this event.
