A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Accountancy, University of Kelaniya and Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on the 02nd of December 2021 at the Senate Room of University of Kelaniya. 

The objective of this MoU is to appreciate and nurture the Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) in Accountancy degree programme while promoting collaborative research work between both institutions by capitalizing their integrative strengths. In essence, both institutions envisage to derive synergistic benefits out of their expertise knowledge. 

Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor - University of Kelaniya and Mr. Rajeeva Bandaranaike, Chief Executive Officer- CSE signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations and were joined by Senior Lecturer Dr. Narada Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. Dilrukshi Abeywardhana, Head- Department of Accountancy, Mr. Nishantha Hewavithana, Head of Research and Strategy- CSE, and academic staff members of the Department of Accountancy.
