The inauguration ceremony of the 8^th batch of Diploma in People Skills was held on the 10^th of June 2022 via Zoom.

The Diploma in People Skills is a unique program launched by the Department of Marketing Management of the University of Kelaniya in 2014 with the purpose of motivating the students to achieve greater heights in both their professional and personal lives. The diploma takes the undergraduates through a transformational change by upskilling their competencies to make them readily employable. The Department of Marketing Management is well known for the quality and rigor of its programs, and it is also the country's first ISO 9001:2015 quality-certified business management department.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. P N D Fernando, Dean-Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies as the chief guest, and Mr. Janmesh Paul Antony, General Manager/Head of Marketing – Ceylon Biscuits Ltd as the guest of honor and the keynote speaker. Prof. Ravi Dissanayake -Head, Department of Marketing Management, Mr. Uditha Bandara- Coordinator of Diploma in People Skills, faculty members, Mrs. H. K. D. W. M. S. K. Hapuhinna, Acting Deputy Registrar- Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies and the candidates of the 8^th batch of Diploma in People Skills participated in this inauguration ceremony.
