The Doctoral Colloquium Committee of the International Conference on Business and Information (ICBI) organized a pre-preparation workshop targeting the potential participants of the conference.

  A pre-preparation workshop organized by the Doctoral Colloquium Committee of the International Conference on Business and Information (ICBI) targeting the potential participants of the conference was held on the 1^st of July 2023 at the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya. The objective of conducting this workshop was to motivate doctoral candidates to engage in research culture.

Dr. Srinath Dissanayake, a senior lecturer in the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, and Professor Wasanthi Madhurapperuma, a senior lecturer in the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, served as the resource persons for the workshop, sharing their insights and expertise on effectively articulating research papers. The workshop also covered various important aspects such as the process of articulating research papers, academic writing skills, the technical details specific to research papers, and strategies for publishing them.

Sixty-four doctoral and MPhil-PhD candidates participated in the workshop representing both local and international universities including University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Kelaniya, University of Colombo, University of Jaffna, Management and Science University, Massey University, and Asia e University (AeU). The workshop included a diverse set of participants from different statuses of their degrees – that of early and after confirmation, data collection, and final stages.
