A mini symposium organized by the Department of Sankskrit & Eastern Studies of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya was held on the 09^th of July 2019 at Kotahena Sri Pragnakeerthi Memorial Hall. It was held with the objective of upgrading the quality of students’ research studies.

Present at the occasion were Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Ven. Senior Prof. Induragare Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Sanskrit & Eastern Studies, academic staff members of the department and undergraduates.

Approximately hundred undergraduates presented their abstracts at the symposium and the abstract volume was launched at the end of the event.
