The University of Kelaniya signs an MoU with Dalian Ocean University, Island Research Centre, Ministry of Natural Resources, and People’s Republic of China

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed virtually between the University of Kelaniya, and Dalian Ocean University, Island Research Center, Ministry of Natural Resources, and People’s Republic of China on the 23rd of March 2023 at 8.00 am (Sri Lankan time).
The purpose of signing this MoU was to promote international agreement, scholarly collaboration, cultural interaction, and friendship by supporting educational, professional, and cultural activities among faculties and students of the parties. Further, this MoU will pave the way to exchange undergraduate and postgraduate students, exchange faculty members, conduct joint research activities, participate in seminars and academic meetings, exchange academic materials and other information, and develop and execute special academic programmes, joint consultancies, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Present at the zoom conference were Professor Sudath R. D. Kalingamudali - the Vice-chancellor (Acting) and the Dean of the Faculty of Science - University of Kelaniya, Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar - the University of Kelaniya, Professor L. D. Amarasinghe - Head - Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Dr. Chintha Perera - Coordinator of the University of Kelaniya, and members of the academic staff of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management.
