The Department of Mass Communication of the University of Kelaniya hosted the screening of the film, “Gaadi (Children of the Sun)” directed by Mr. Prasanna Vithanage on the 2nd of August 2023.

The film was screened from 5.30 pm onwards at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the university. The screening of the film was organized as a part of the Sanjanani media festival, which is the largest annual media festival in the university.

The Director, Mr. Prasanna Vithanage who was present at the event addressed the audience before the screening. 

Further, Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication and other staff members attended the event. 

Notably, the event was a huge success with the participation of more than 1500 spectators.
