An audiobook collection developed by the Interactive Media Unit (IMU) of the Library, University of Kelaniya has been launched at the Senate Room of the university.

It was launched by Cadre Chair and Senior Prof. Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.

The key objective of this massive project is to facilitate the general public with a distance library service of an audiobook collection which is timely required during this COVID-19 pandemic. The generosity of the authors is highly appreciated in making this project a success. This audiobook collection will provide access to 03 sub-collections as follows. 

1. The books written by the academic staff of the University of Kelaniya 
2. The books written by the differently-abled undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya 
3. The books recreated by the IMU 

This occasion was delighted with the presence of the Deans of Faculties, Dr. C.C. Jayasundara, Librarian, Ven. D. Pannananda Thero, Interactive Media Librarian, other Academic Staff and Library Committee Members.
