119th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya

Following the safety guidelines, precautions, and protocols 119th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 31st of December 2021 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). 

During the First Session, three hundred and eleven graduands of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, sixty-six graduands of Speech and Hearing Sciences (Speech and Language Therapy) Bachelor of Science Honors, Six graduands of Speech and Hearing Sciences (Audiology) Bachelor of Science Honors, two graduands of Bachelor of Science (General), degrees were awarded by the Faculty of Medicine.

During the Second Session, seventy-three graduands of Bachelor of Science(Honors), thirty-eight graduands of  Bachelor of Science Honors in Management and Information Technology, eleven graduands of Bachelor of Science Honors in Environmental Conservation and Management, thirty-nine graduands of Bachelor of Science Software Engineering Honors, one hundred and eighty-six graduands of Bachelor of Science,  twelve graduands of Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology,  sixteen graduands of  Bachelor of Science in Environmental Conservation and Management, thirteen graduands of Bachelor of Science Physics and Electronics, two graduands of Bachelor of Science (General),  degrees were awarded by Faculty of Science.

Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Aggamahapandit Most Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Maha Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Kithsiri Mewan Vihara, Former Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Deans, Directors of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Directors and Chairpersons of the Units and Centers, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, Registrar, non-academic staff members, and parents were among the participants of this special ceremony.
