Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 29^th of March 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Professor A. Chamaru De Alwis of the Department of Human Resource Management, Dr. P. N. D. Fernando and Dr. J. M. Ruwani Fernando of the Department of Finance, Professor D. M. R. Dissanayake of the Department of Marketing Management, Dr. H. M. T. S. Herath of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, and Dr. R. M. S. Bandara of the Department of Accountancy were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Dr. S. A. P. M. Manuratne of the Department of English was the awardee from the Faculty of Humanities.

Senior Professor Y. I. N. S. Gunewardene, Senior Professor Aresha Manamperi, Professor Menaka Hapugoda of the Molecular Medicine Unit, and Professor P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka of the Department of Parasitology, Dr. Anuradha Baminiwatta were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.         

Moreover, Senior Professor P. A. Paranagama of the Department of Chemistry, Professor L. D. Amarasinghe and Ms. W. M. S. N. M. Wijesinghe of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Science, Professor R. N. Attanayake of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, and Dr. A. P. R. Wickramarachchi, Dr, Amila Suranjeewa Withanaarachchi, Ms. A. P. K. J. Prasadika, Ms. M. I. D. Ranathunga, Ms. A. G. K. C. Kumari, and Ms. M. P. P. L. Peiris of the Department of Industrial Management were awarded from the Faculty of Science.
