Visit of Erasmus+ incoming staff mobility from Portugal and France

University of Kelaniya currently hosts Erasmus+ Incoming Staff Mobility from the University of Porto, Portugal and the University of Rouen, France. Both universities have hosted several staff and student mobilities from University of Kelaniya since 2015.

 Ms Carla Augusto, International Office, School of Humanities, University of Porto, Portugal and Ms. Ines Arcia, International Office, University of Rouen, France are on Staff Training Mobility from 27th to 31st March 2023. The delegates called upon the Vice Chancellor Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva on 27th March at the Vice Chancellor’s Office. Present at the occasion were Director, Centre for International Affairs Senior Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Lecturer, Department of Geography and Erasmus Ambassador of University of Porto for Sri Lanka, Mr. Indunil Ranwella, Coordinator International Cooperation Ms, Sashini Chandrasekara and Coordinator, International Student Affairs Ms. Sanduni Iddamalgoda. The visitors also met the Registrar Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Deputy Registrar, Academic Establishments, Ms. Namal Yalagama, Deputy Registrar, Academic Branch Ms. Shyamika Hapuhinna, Assistant Registrar, General Administration Ms. Sajeewani Dodanthenna and Assistant Registrar, Student Welfare Ms. Bhagya Wetthasinghe for a discussion on administrative functions of the university and their contribution to internationalisation.

 A meeting with Erasmus Alumni was held on 28th March at the Centre for International Affairs with the participation of Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena and Dr, Chandeera Gunawardhana of the Department of Modern Languages, Mr. Indunil Ranwella of the Department of Geography and Ms. Dilanthi Kumudumali, one of the first Erasmus Mundus undergraduate mobility grantees to University of Rouen in 2016. The visitors also had a tour of the library and a discussion session at the Department of Geography.

 The visit of the delegates is coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.
