Erasmus+ student mobility grantees meet the Vice Chancellor

University of Kelaniya has benefitted from Erasmus staff and student mobility grants funded by the European Commission since 2014.
The most recent grantees who completed their undergraduate mobility called upon the Vice Chancellor Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva on 24th July 2023 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor.
The students shared their experiences and what they gained from the mobility abroad. For the majority of them it was the first ever overseas experience.
Punsisi Liyanage (2021/2022) Dehemi Nipunsala, Sarani Halloluwa, Hashini Dilhara, Amaya Alutharachchi and Sanduni Nipunika (2022/2023) students of BA Honours from French Studies Section of the Department of Modern Languages completed their undergraduate mobility of one academic year at Rouen University, France. Navodya Kumarasinghe from Biological Sciences was the first ever undergraduate mobility grantee from the Faculty of Science who spent one semester at the University of Szczecin, Poland. All the students have completed their mobility scoring excellent grades at the respective universities, thus bringing honour to the University of Kelaniya.
Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Sudath Kalingamudali, Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean Faculty of Humanties, Senior Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director, Centre for International Affairs and Ven. Prof. Nedalagamuwe Dhammadinna Thero, Head Department of Modern Languages. The most recent staff mobility grantees to the University of Rouen, France Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena and Dr. Udara de Silva, Senior Lecturers from the Department of Modern Languages also attended the meeting. The event was organized by the Centre for International Affairs.
