Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 25^th of April 2024 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. Pramodh Chitral Chandrasinghe of the Department of Surgery, Prof. P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka and Dr. Nuwani Harshamali Manamperi of the Department of Parasitology, and Dr. Meranthi Fernando of the Department of Paediatrics were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.        

Senior Prof. L. B. D. R. P. Wijesundera of the Department of Physics and Electronics, Prof. Sagarika Kannangara of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Mr. Jayantha Munasinghe and Dr. L. P. N. D. Premarathna of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. C. C. Kadigamuwa of the Department of Chemistry, Mr. P. P. G. Dinesh Asanka and Mr. Janaka Maduwantha Dias Senanayake of the Department of Industrial Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Dr. H. R. S. Sulochani of the Department of Social Statistics was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
