The official launch of the project Suwisal Digital Library, initiated by the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the university Library, was successfully held on April 9, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The Project Suwisal Digital Library is a groundbreaking initiative designed to create an inclusive and accessible learning platform for students, especially those with visual impairments. Developed as part of Team Luminars' commitment to transforming education, this web-based digital library offers a curated collection of audiobooks, educational resources, and interactive learning materials to ensure unrestricted access to knowledge.

The event was graced by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, as the chief guest, while other distinguished guests included Senior Professor Sudath R. D. Kalingamudali, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Dr. C. C. Jayasundara, Librarian of the University of Kelaniya; Dr. Anuruddhika Kularathne, Director of the Inclusivity Center; and Mr. Kasun Munasinghe, Interactive Media Librarian of the University of Kelaniya.

Additionally, the event also witnessed the presence of Library academic staff and Rotaract members.
