Forty academic and non- academic staff members were being appreciated by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe on the 28^th of February 2019 at the Senate Room of the university. They were appreciated for their extra special dedication and service during the welcome ceremony & orientation programme for freshers and the process of providing hostel facilities for the first year undergraduates.

Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Mr. M. Piyathilaka, Senior Assistant Registrar- Student Welfare Division, academic and non- academic staff members.
