The 111^th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26^th of November 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

During the first session, fifty- three graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Humanities and three hundred and thirty- nine graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the first session was delivered by Mr. S.J. Wijayabandhu, Secretary- Ministry of Education, Culture and Arts, Sports and Youth Affairs & Information Technology, Western Provincial Council.

During the second session, one hundred and twenty- seven graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Humanities and three hundred and thirty graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences were awarded the degrees.

Moreover, the convocation speech for the second session was delivered by Mr. P.B.M. Sirisena, Secretary- Wayamba Provincial Council.

Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya presided over the event. Deans of Faculties, Directors of Postgraduate Institutes, Directors of Institutes, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar, non-academic staff members and parents were among the participants of this special ceremony.
