EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICE

The Democratic Socialist republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the World Bank, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan, to make payment under the contract for Consultancy Service on Introducing an Intensive Program on English Proficiency in order to introduce new tailor-made, training program on English proficiency for weak students.  The Consultancy under the AHEAD Operation is funded by the World Bank and carried out by the ELTA-ELSE grant of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Science of the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

The consultant is mainly required to provide services as outlined in the terms of reference (TOR). The Chairman, Regional Procurement Committee (Minor) of the Operation Technical Secretariat of the AHEAD Operation, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka invites eligible persons as mentioned below, to indicate their interest in providing this service.  Interested persons must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service (CV, experience in similar assignments, sample of documents developed and availability of appropriate skills etc, are much preferred to be submitted.). 

Qualifications and Experience

Those who are registered as Consultants / Resource persons for English with AHEAD Operation, Colombo or any others with suitable qualifications and experience on the subject acceptable to the grant.

Consultant will be selected in accordance with GOSL Guidelines on selection and employment of consultant – August 2007.
