Applications are invited from eligible citizens of Sri Lanka for above mentioned position dedicated to the Development Oriented Research (DOR) grant of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.

The said DOR grant is funded by World Bank under its Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operation in Sri Lanka. The appointment is contractual base, initially for one year which may be extended upon satisfactory work performance for another term if the service of the Research Assistant is further required. The grant will offer a maximum salary of Rs 55,000.00 per month all-inclusive subject to EPF and ETF payment as per labor law of Sri Lanka. Job Profile
Research Assistant shall be required to discharge duties as per Terms of Reference of the position specially related to conducting literature survey, review, organizing workshops & meetings, data collection & analysis etc. while performing tasks pertaining to secretarial and office administration etc.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A special degree obtained from a recognized University with Second Class or 03 passes in A/L of any stream with minimum credit passes in English and Mathematics at the GCE O / L examination.

Knowledge on SPSS and STATA, preferred.

Age below 40 years.

Must be fluent in English, computer literate and possess professional skills (Skilled in communication, office etiquette, time management, problem-solving, positive attitude and interpersonal relationships ets.)
