Post of Guest House Keeper (On Assignment)

Qualifications :

• Pass in G.C.E. A/L Examination in any streams
• Good communication in English
• Experience in providing quality service for guests (Hotel experience will be added advantage)
• Ability of maintaining records, inter-personal skills and experience in maintaining guest house.
• Ability of cooking, maintaining kitchen with logistic management to the guest house.
• Ability of maintaining guest house garden.
• The special skills of speaking languages other than Sinhala & English would be added advantage.
• Selected applicants shall be occupied in the University Guest House 24 hours and responsible for providing security for guests, assist them, help them and make sure to adhere with the University regulations, guidelines & instructions given by the Registrar and any responsible executive officer.
• Provide service for maintenance of the guest house and Guest House Keeper should cover the security aspects.

Monthly Allowance          - LKR 60,000/-

Period of Assignment        - 06 months

Selection Process :

Applications will be shortlisted based on qualifications and final selection through interview.

This assignment is only for specified period and selected candidates has no rights to claim permanent status or permanent provisions considering the service period of this assignment. If this assignment is success, the University will decide whether to offer new assignment or end with this assignment. No any other payment or financial benefits is paid other than all exclusive assignment fee LKR 360,000/- which will be paid in six installments (LKR 60,000/- per month).

Submission of Application :

Applicants shall send their curriculum vitae, Copies of educational Certificates, Service Certificates, Original Copy of Grama Niladari Certificate, Copy of the National Identity Card, Police Report, One Character Certificate obtain from Chief Incumbent of the area where the applicant resided and another Character Certificate obtain from either Principal of the School that the applicant sat for G.C.E. A/L Examination or from a Justice of Peace resided in the area where the applicant stayed.

All those certificates shall be sent to the Assistant Registrar / Non-Academic Establishment, University of Kelaniya, Dalugama, Kelaniya on or before 10.10.2023. The envelope containing the application must be marked "Guest House Keeper (On Assignment)" on its top left-hand corner.
