Commemorating the centennial of the history of Sri Lankan athletics, a book titled "100 years of Sri Lanka Athletics” featuring all the significant achievements, competitions, and events, was launched recently.

It was compiled by Mr. G. G. U. Saman Kumara Gunawardana, Actg. Director of Physical Education of the University of Kelaniya and Honorary Recorder of Sri Lanka Athletics, the editor of the book with the collaboration of Sri Lanka Athletics.  This book contains descriptive information on, ‘Historical movements of Sri Lanka Athletics’, 'winners of the National Championships', ‘Top 50 rankings for whole events’, 'Records', 'Progressive National records', and more.
