As the initial step, this programme was aimed at the Medical Center staff and the Welfare Unit (Hostel) of the university. The objective of this programme was to emphasize the importance of first aid and basic life support training.

The event was honoured by the participation of Ms. Pushpa Ramyani De Soyza as the Chief Guest. The Medical Center encourages all students and academic and nonacademic staff to participate in First Aid and BLS training sessions offered by the university Medical Center. These sessions will not only empower students to assist in emergencies in the university but also to save lives within society. Understanding and being equipped to administer First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) can make a critical difference in emergency situations. These life-saving skills enable individuals to provide immediate care during medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrests, choking, or severe injuries, etc. until professional help arrives.
